1. Who we are
Nirel Agrisciences operates the digital platform behind each retailer's branded app. The app a farmer or retailer uses is their retailer's own branded app, built and maintained by Nirel Agrisciences. 2. Information collected
- From farmers: name, phone number, and — for farmers on the full service — field location, crop details, field photographs for plant health diagnosis, and autopay mandate details.
- From retailers: name, shop name, phone number, shop location, and, where provided, GST details and settlement account details.
- Payment information: mandate and transaction records are processed by the payment gateway partner. Nirel does not store bank passwords, UPI PINs, or card details.
3. How information is used
- To prepare crop advisory, satellite field monitoring, plant health diagnosis, weather alerts, and market price information for the farmer's fields. Advisory is delivered to the farmer through, and in consultation with, the farmer's trusted retailer.
- To operate the weekly advance and subscription payments, including the split settlement between the gateway, Nirel, and the retailer.
- To send service notifications within the app.
4. What Nirel does not do
- Nirel does not sell personal information to anyone.
- Nirel does not send marketing SMS. SMS is used only for one-time transactional links such as autopay setup.
- Nirel does not collect or view a retailer's shop sales, stock, or billing data.
5. Sharing
A farmer's information is shared only with: (a) the farmer's own retailer, to the extent needed to serve the farmer on the platform; (b) the payment gateway partner, for processing mandates and debits; (c) providers of satellite imagery and weather data, who receive field location only, never identity; and (d) authorities, if required by law.
6. Storage and security
Data is stored on secure servers with access controls. Payment authorisation happens only through the account holder's own bank or UPI app — never through Nirel.
7. Rights
Any farmer or retailer may ask what information is held about them, request corrections, or request account closure. On closure, the phone number is released; transaction records are retained as required by law.
